Doky Designs Sounds for Luxury Phone

News03.05.2011

The Æ+Y Phone

In collaboration with the renowned technology designer, Yves Behar, the Copenhagen-based company Aesir Copenhagen has created an ultimate luxury phone - the Æ+Y phone. All the original ringtones are composed by Chris Minh Doky specifically for this phone.

Aesir Copenhagen founder Thomas Møller Jensen never doubted for a second that he wanted Doky to compose the ringtones and sounds: "He has this natural, crisp and contemporary sound that I just knew would fit Yve''s design and the Æsir brand".

"I want music to sound like a story, a picture, a feeling, an energy. It must be natural and real in order to connect with people on an emotional level", Doky says, "When I first held the phone in my hands, I felt an obvious organic craftmanship that instantly made me think of real, handcrafted instruments - of concert grand pianos, acoustic guitars, orchestras, flutes and percussion. The elegance of the electronics brought to mind a famous British secret agent, well equipped with the best of the latest. In other words, the phone was full of inspiration for a matching soundtrack."
